How to take photos that no one else has before

  • New techniques (flash in outdoor landscapes)
  • Go to an “undiscovered” area
    • Look for film locations http://www.movie-locations.com/
  • Don’t look at other people’s work before you shoot
  • Apply recipes from other successful photos to different situations
  • Try new perspective on an “old” location
  • Don’t stop shooting after the sun goes down. Try night photography (if allowed); maybe some light painting.
  • Avoid the “tripod holes”

  • IP+ is about to get awesomer
    • Going to another country to spend 3 days with one of the most creative photographers on the planet to record a tutorial for IP+.  I’ll leave it at that for now 🙂
    • I’m almost done with a new course called “Landscapes in Motion”
    • I’m also working on “Lighting in a Flash II”
