Welcome to the Master Photography Roundtable part of the Master Photography Podcast Network! You are joined by thousands of photographers listening to this show who are all on the same journey to master their photography. I am Brent Bergherm, the host for this episode and today I’m joined by Levi Sim Levi, welcome to the show.
So today’s topic… selecting your 9 best images and portfolio reviews.
First off, does it really need to be nine? What do you think Levi?
What are the benefits of doing this exercise?
I’ve not done it yet, but I’ll try and get to it. I’ve just go so much on my plate… but I really should do it I think.
Let’s take this idea a bit further and talk about the value of a portfolio critique, or a review.
However, I hope this doesn’t sound too much like a commercial. I just released the service on my website for doing portfolio reviews. So I feel like getting that out of the way and then we can talk about different types of portfolio reviews.
So If we’ve chosen our top of the year, would it make sense to just consider that to be your portfolio? Or what other thoughts should go in to putting a portfolio together for someone to review?
What are the top criteria you’d suggest photographers use for putting a portfolio together?
